You will need to complete required lab-related trainings including Laboratory Safety (Chemical Hygiene) training and Hazardous Waste Management Training. New Laboratory PI’s should schedule a meeting to tour your labspace with Charly Wojtysiak, the Director of Environmental Health and Safety cwojtysi@bowdoin.edu as well as a meeting with Ren Bernier, the Laboratory Safety Manager and Chemical Hygiene Officer rbernier@bowdoin.edu
You should meet with Mike Ranen, Associate Dean for Academic Administration mranen@bowdoin.edu and/or your department chairperson to discuss any facilities – related work that will be required in your labspace.
